Senior Accountant for Prominent NYC Nonprofit

Responsibilities:
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations & analyze data for accuracy
- Assist with day-to-day reconciliations, transactions, & accounts payable responsibilities
- Prep financial statements, budgets, & forecasts
- Assist with posting journal entries, month end close, & cash flow analysis
- Process vendor invoices & expense reimbursements
- Assist in preparing budget-related materials & supporting documents required for submission to funders
- Track revenue for each funding source via accrual adjustments, posting checks, & electronic transfers
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of non-profit accounting experience
- Tech savvy - Strong excel & accounting software skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of non-profit/government grants & contracts is also a plus
