Client is a multi-faceted healthcare provider serving the Finger Lakes area of New York State.
Senior Accountant
Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager, prepares general ledger reconciliations, completes internal and external reporting, prepares and participates in outside audits and trains/mentor staff.
Responsibilities:
Prepares assigned general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with departmental policy and procedures. Make recommendations regarding tightening internal control.
Prepares for and participates in all internal and external audits as assigned.
Perform analytical review and prepare financial and statistical statements as assigned.
Completes all assigned internal, external, and regulatory reporting requirements in accordance with regulatory guidelines within the designated timeframes
Assume a lead role within the finance team in setting high quality standards for compliance
Support management staff by defining issues and prepare initial recommendation for management review and discussion.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years computerized accounting experience
Experience using a spreadsheet application to complete complex analytical review
Healthcare experience, Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point (preferred
Bachelors degree in Accounting
