Senior Accountant
About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is a manufacturing company in Rockville, MD who has been a powerhouse in the industry for 50+ years.
- Due to growth, they are hiring a temporary Senior Accountant in their Rockville, MD office.
- Position is in office and the schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.
- Pay is $45-52/hr
- This position is temporary, but for the right candidate it could go permanent.

Overview of the Senior Accountant role:
- Prepare Monthly / Quarterly / Annual Financial Statements
- Perform all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end balance sheet reconciliation
- Ensure monthly close is accomplished as per schedule
- Perform bi-weekly Payroll processing
- Prepare monthly cost analysis of open projects
- Work closely with Manufacturing team to ensure cost are applied timely and accurately
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Mentor accounting staff by providing ongoing training and guidance
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
- 7+ years' experience is required
- Navision experience is a MUST
- Manufacturing/GovCon experience is a plus
- Proficient in Excel is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
