Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Consulting Senior Accountant, you will:

1. Manage, prepare, and analyze all account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
2. Maintain the general ledger, including the preparation of journal entries and monthly closing activities.
3. Provide financial information and prepare reports by researching, analyzing, and summarizing account data.
4. Collaborate with the consulting team to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and ensuring adherence.
6. Develop and implement effective accounting policies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Provide support during audits by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
8. Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
9. Train and mentor junior staff on accounting principles and company procedures.
10. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an accounting role; consulting experience is a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and general ledger management.
4. Proficiency in accounting software.
5. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
8. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
