Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
  • Manage commercial real estate accounting processes, including lease accounting, property management fees, and tenant billings.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial transactions, identify discrepancies or errors, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and ensure compliance within the organization.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Finance industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of month-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Commercial Real Estate Accounting principles, including lease accounting and property management fees.
  • Proficient in analyzing financial reports and providing insightful recommendations to drive business performance.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles accurately.
  • Experience with financial systems and software, such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth.
