The ideal candidate will have demonstrated analytical skills and innovative approach to problem solving, the ability to adapt to changing demands and needs, and strong technical, data, and reporting skills. Responsibilities
- Create, review, and post journal entries
- Coordinate the month end close process
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Review accounting records and transactions for accuracy and ensure they are following compliance standards
- Prepare, review, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, local management reports, cost allocation reports, and capital expenditures reporting
- Prepare comprehensive management reports which provide comparisons to budget and historical trends
- Monitor the annual financial audit process
- Identify areas for improvement in the accounting department
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
