Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and maintaining financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
2. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
3. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and legal requirements.
4. Analyzing financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
5. Reviewing and improving financial policies and procedures.
6. Ensuring all financial operations align with the organization's goals and objectives.
7. Assisting in the development and management of budgets.
8. Collaborating with other departments to gather information, resolve issues, and provide financial guidance.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Accountant position, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
3. Proficient in accounting software and with MS Office, especially Excel.
4. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
