Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our accounting operations. This role is particularly suited for professionals who have a strong background in the medical industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall financial success of our organization. Your main duties will include:
1. Performing month-end close procedures and preparing financial statements.
2. Conducting regular budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
3. Producing accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
4. Performing reconciliations of accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
5. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
6. Conducting internal audits and providing recommendations for improving our financial performance and profitability.
7. Maintaining the general ledger and assisting with year-end close procedures.
8. Collaborating with other finance team members to streamline accounting procedures and operations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical industry.
3. Proven experience in month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, financial reporting, reconciliations, financial accounting, auditing, and general ledger.
4. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
