I'm working with a Life Science company who are on the lookout for a talented accountant to join their team in Asheville.

This is a medium sized pharmaceutical company, but they are investing heavily in their staff and their infrastructure to be able to grow into a well-known household brand.

This role involves analyzing financial data and crafting management reports to spotlight areas for enhancement. We're seeking an ideal candidate with a background in financial analysis and project management.

Duties :

Finalize month-end closing tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting, with emphasis on inventory, cost of goods sold, freight, expenses, and fixed assets.

Create comprehensive product cost breakdowns for both current and upcoming products.

Conduct variance analysis.

Deliver weekly and monthly reports on key production and logistics performance indicators (KPIs).

Ensure timely filing of regulatory reports.

Engage in additional projects as delegated.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance along with 2-4 years of relevant work experience.

Proficient in organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; adept at managing priorities.

Capable of working autonomously with a strong self-motivated drive.

Demonstrates adaptability, flexibility, and readiness to operate within a dynamic work environment.

Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of presenting findings and engaging with all levels of the organization.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.

Familiarity with Microsoft Systems such as Office and Windows, coupled with prior exposure to ERP systems like Microsoft NAV, Oracle, or SAP.

Experience in inventory accounting and product costing.

Hybrid role requiring in-office presence three days per week.

Minimal domestic travel, less than 10%.
