Large National Distribution company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company, with a great team that has established processes.

Active CPA is required for consideration, with 3+ years of experience, along with advanced Excel as a must. Strong job tenure desired.

This will be 4 days onsite in their beautiful office and after the initial training period, you can work 1 day from home. You'll need to be able to work 5 days in office until you're trained and comfortable with their proprietary software.

Are you a financial wizard with a knack for numbers and a passion for problem-solving? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This permanent position will focus on the distribution sector of our business and will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and success of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all aspects of accounting and financial management, with a particular emphasis on the manufacturing and distribution sector.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Booking cash receipts and reconciling bank accounts on a regular basis.
2. Reconciling accounts receivable and several general ledger accounts.
3. Preparing the Profit and Loss statements for multiple locations.
4. Managing accruals and maintaining fixed assets and setup depreciations.
5. Handling chargebacks and coding invoices and expense reports to the general ledger.
6. Utilizing advanced Excel skills for financial reporting and data analysis.
7. Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
8. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
10. Continually identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:

1. A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant
2. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. And an Active CPA is required.
3. Proven experience with book cash receipts, bank account reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, and preparing Profit and Loss statements for multiple locations.
4. Solid understanding of accruals, GL account reconciliation, fixed assets, and depreciation setup.
5. Experience with chargebacks and coding invoices and expense reports to the GL.
6. Advanced proficiency in Excel including vlookups, pivot tables, sum ifs.
7. Knowledge and experience in the manufacturing and distribution sector a plus.
8. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
9. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
10. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
