Position is fully onsite

Kelly is seeking a Senior Accountant or Controller to work for our Fargo-based client in the commercial construction industry on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a company that has seen over 20 years of steady success and growth.

This position provides the business knowledge and experience to oversee all general accounting & payroll operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions.

Specifically, the Senior Accountant/Controller will:
•   Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable accounts
•   Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
•   Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
•   Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
•   Participate in setting financial standards, budgets, and goal setting
•   Mentor, support, train, oversee, and delegate accounting duties to two accounting direct reports
•   Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
•   Complete weekly payroll, prevailing wage reporting, audits, quarterly reporting, W2s, etc. Qualifications:
•   Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field preferred
•   5+ years of relevant accounting experience
•   Construction industry (or similar) experience preferred
•   Experience in accounting software and implementation helpful.
•   Experience with Sage100 preferred but not required
•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•   Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
•   Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Benefits:
