The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission is currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Semi-skilled Laborer at Drake Well Museum and Park. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The role of Semi-skilled Laborer at Drake Well Museum and Park entails the upkeep of the museum's grounds, buildings, and equipment, including satellite sites. This involves outdoor work such as mowing, trimming, and snow removal, as well as routine maintenance and repairs across different trades. In addition, you will be responsible for custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for visitors, staff, and volunteers, while strictly adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the site's security at the end of each day. Work Schedule and Additional Information: This limited-term (Seasonal) position that is expected to expire on or before December 13, 2024. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Condition of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent. Additional Requirements: This position is located in Titusville, Venango County, PA. You must be willing to work in Venango County, PA. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Criteria (not required): Experience in grounds keeping and use of tractors or similar large landscaping equipment preferred. Experience in the operation/maintenance/repair of tools, equipment, and/or vehicles preferred. Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
