Position Type: Resource Special Education Teacher
Responsibilities:
Provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a resource classroom setting
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
Differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of each student in the classroom
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and participation
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth
Requirements:
Valid special education teaching license in the state of Illinois
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
