Duties Manages the Reports and Analysis Program Monitors the overall security administration program for the organization Manages and performs variety of tasks related to the Reports and Analysis Section to include, but not limited to consolidating material from reports, files, notes, and rough drafts into final correspondence, distributes mail and reproduces material using copy equipment Provides daily oversight and creates reports ensuring compliance of the Air Force Criminal History Data Reporting and the Defense Clearance and Investigation Index (DCII) programs Manages and establishes suspense's on reports and traffic tickets of action to unit commanders and monitors to ensure actions taken are applicable Provides oversight and maintains logs on debarment actions pending and completed and ensures current lists are provided to sections requiring information Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship Required Males must be registered for Selective Service, see If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at: This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program Disclosure of Political Appointments The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments Secret: The employee will be required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety Department of Defense Physical Security Certification conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes applying knowledge of the commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in advising operating officials, and developing guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls. Knowledge of the methods of performing such duties as conducting reviews, collecting and analyzing information, etc. and skill in weighing the impact of variables such as critical personnel qualifications, variations in building construction characteristics, access and entry restrictions, equipment availability, and other issues that influence the course of actions taken in resolving security questions and issues. Knowledge of the physical security program to plan and analyze trends to recommend of multilayered security systems. Comprehensive knowledge on the operation of the entire criminal analysis program of the organization and its relation and understanding of the functions and operations of other organizations, even though unrelated to own specialty field. OR EDUCATION: a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. D., in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: a combination of education and experience that provides me with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. NOTE: You must provide a copy of your transcripts with your application FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of security forces reports and analysis functions of security concepts, principles, and practices to participate in the planning and implementation of security programs in these areas. 2. Knowledge of Wide range of security principles, practices, and requirements as well as their relationships to include physical security, anti-terrorism, technical security, force protection and other means. Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the installation. Mastery of analytical tools/databases and methodology to develop and implement security polices, standards and procedures of criminal analysis. 3. Comprehensive knowledge on the operation of the entire criminal analysis program of the organization and its relation and understanding of the functions and operations of other intelligence organizations, even though unrelated to own specialty field. Skill in consolidating ostensibly disparate facts, events and other types of investigative and intelligence material and developing information, guidelines and techniques for application in the assistance of criminal case development and security intelligence presentations. 4. Ability to plan, organize and direct team efforts across organizational lines in order to plan, conduct, coordinate, identify information, conduct analysis, provide sound and accurate interpretations of finding and exchange highly sensitive and critical information. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 5. Extensive knowledge of DOD and Air Force Physical Security Programs, Information Security, Personnel Security, Industrial Security, directives, and the deployment and employment of security systems 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
