Security Specialist with Security Clearance

ABOUT THIS ROLE St. Michael's is hiring a Security Specialist to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As the Security Specialist, you will provide end-to-end security support services to our client. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your program management experience, and expertise with the processes and systems used to support security services in the DoD. Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will both lead and work as a contributing member to a team of security specialists providing support across multiple security disciplines in our client's security services office. LOCATION Alexandria, VA (primarily on-site, with limited telework when required) WHO YOU ARE Active Top-Secret Clearance (with ability to obtain SCI). 1 or more years of experience working in a security role within government or military sectors. 1 or more years of experience supporting medium scale DoD organizations. 1 or more years of experience in DISS, federal record policy, and risk assessments. Demonstrated experience identifying security vulnerabilities, recommending mitigation strategies, and training of others in these areas. High school diploma or higher. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide on-site administrative support for security related files and information, including records management Provide support to client customers requiring assistance with a variety of security-related tasks (e.g., CAC issuance, system access, visitor access requests, in- and out-processing, SCI indoctrinations) Manage and monitor email in-box and other communications Perform policy and procedure analysis, research, and support special projects Compile daily, weekly, and monthly metrics Support inspections Participate in training activities WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
