POSITION AVAILABILTY CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD SUMMARY
The Security Manager performs inspections of all functions within each of the functional areas of the contract; develops and utilizes checklists; prepares documentation and follow up to detected discrepancies; recommends corrective action; performs analytical evaluations of effectiveness; and ensures that the Project Manager are informed of all security activities. Performs safety inspections of all assigned facilities and operations; ensures that all established safety policies and procedures are adhered to; prepares accident reports, investigates causes of accidents, and implements corrective actions; prepares and conducts employee safety meetings and performs those duties as directed or assigned by the Corporate QC/Safety Director. Works closely with the site Project Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Establishes, implements, and maintains an ongoing security program to ensure that all contractual requirements are accomplished as specified and that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Serves as primary point of contact for the Government for all security matters.
• Establishes and maintains security files; provides guidance and direction to employees on all matters related to security.

• Ensures that all security and safety policies and procedures are followed, including at the subcontractor level.
• Has stop work authority for a non-imminent or imminent danger situation; conversely has restart work authority.
• Responsible for changes and notification of changes in the Security and Safety Plan.

• Research new OSHA and Post Safety regulations to ensure the work force is in compliance.

• Understanding in security protocols for reporting incidents and injuries in accordance with company, county, city, state, and federal regulations

• Must meet schedule requirements.

• Provide communication with personnel regarding security-related issues.

• Oversee compliance of all required training, and correct performance deficiencies.
• Ability to write procedures for training and new employees.

• Ability in Understanding of Contract documents.

• Provide assistance to Project Manager. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• A degree from an accredited 4-year program in Business Administration or equivalent experience preferred.

• Minimum 5 years' performing work in public safety and/or a security-related position.

• Minimum of five (5) years management experience, demonstrated management skills, strong interpersonal relationship skills and managing a public safety and/or security-related workforce.

• Preferred experience in management of DOE sites

• Have, or be capable of obtaining, a Department of Energy (DOE) Q Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Must maintain a valid driver's license. COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers, and staff members. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, state, and federal agencies. REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must have strong strategic and analytical skills and sound business judgment. The PM or his/her designee will be on-call twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. The employee will work in an office environment; however, there may be some periods of work which will be outside in varying conditions of hot and cold weather. Some travel to project locations may be required as well as some evening, weekend, and holiday.
