IT Security Analyst

IT Security Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Identify weaknesses and risk within company systems while performing penetration testing
- Implement new or upgraded security measure and controls including changes in documentation and/or processes
- Work with various teams to develop and deliver security awareness programs and educate employees about security risks
- Review logs, investigate security exceptions, and coordinate with internal and external teams, including MSPs, to resolve issues
- Work with SIEM solutions like RSA Security Analytics, ArcSight, LogRhythm, QRadar, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar
- Perform security incident and event management, log analysis, malware investigations, etc
- Analyze, triage, and remediate security incidents
- Perform periodic risk reviews and audits
- Provide strategies for improving system security
IT Security Analyst
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security related areas including intrusion detection, incident response, vulnerability management, etc
- Knowledgeable of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Network Layers, etc), Malware operations and indicators, and the current threat landscape (threat actors, APT, Cyber-crime, etc)
- Knowledgeable of security-related technologies such as IDS, IPS, EDR, IRP, FW, etc)
- Basic Knowledge of Audit requirements including PCI, SOX, HIPPA, etc)
- Knowledge of network security technologies and devices
- Excellent root cause analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail

- Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500)
- Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
