This multifaceted approach encompasses safeguarding both online and on-premise infrastructures, scrutinizing metrics and data to identify and eliminate suspicious activities, and proactively addressing potential risks to prevent breaches.

Job Details

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).
  • Conduct both internal and external security audits.
  • Perform security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
  • Monitor organizational security access.
  • Verify the security measures of third-party vendors and collaborate with them to meet security requirements.
  • Continuously update incident response and disaster recovery plans.
  • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
  • Address detected vulnerabilities promptly to maintain a high-security standard.
  • Assist colleagues in installing security software and understanding information security management.
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Immediately report all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines, ensuring quality and safety by complying with all appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Work with 802.1X technology to manage devices on networks.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, and be detail-oriented.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A solid understanding of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification levels and NIST 800-171 framework.
  • Proficiency in advanced network concepts (physical and virtual).
  • Knowledgeable in Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM).
  • Project tracking and management skills.
  • Familiarity with SCADA and OT.
  • A self-starter mindset to proactively address project needs and anticipate next steps.
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
  • Capability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain preventive measures.
  • Knowledge of patch management with the ability to deploy patches promptly while understanding the business impact.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • A preferred Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • An MBA in information systems is advantageous.
  • 5-7 years of experience in information security or a related field.
  • Prior experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques is beneficial.
