About the Opportunity:

This 34-bed Emergency Medicine department manages a high volume of approximately 50,000 patient visits annually, serving as the lifeblood of the hospital. As Section Chief, you'll lead a highly skilled team of pediatric emergency medicine specialists, ensuring exceptional patient care, efficient operations, and continued program excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong clinical and administrative leadership for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine section.

Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance patient care, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency.

Oversee all aspects of the department, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes teamwork and professional development.

Collaborate with hospital administration, other departments, and community partners to ensure seamless patient care coordination.

Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in pediatric emergency medicine and implement evidence-based practices.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

Board Certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine is highly preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine with demonstrated leadership accomplishments.

Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to build and motivate teams.

Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
