Second Shift Material Handler/Loader

POSITION SUMMARY Accurately and efficiently load trucks for delivery to customers and/or unload transfer truck. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manually stage and load all units and warehouse items onto delivery trucks Use a hand-held scanner to locate items and load them onto the trucks May have to make minor repairs on product if found damaged Unload transfer/vendor trucks and receive and inspect the material according to the Reeb purchase order Receive the material using computers and hand-held scanner Put all received material in appropriate bin locations, physically and on the scanner Move any damaged or non-conforming items from the loading dock to the appropriate area for rework or RTV May require operation of forklift - training and certification provided Conduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards and loading procedures Meet standards for quality as set forth by the company by inspecting product as loaded and following proper loading procedures Assure proper housekeeping and organization on the loading dock, including outside the loading doors Strive to meet team efficiencies without compromising quality of loading accurately Perform other duties as assigned POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Competency Statement(s) Acts with Integrity - Demonstrates responsibility and honest behavior in all roles, tasks and responsibilities Communicates Effectively - Creates open channels of communication, adapts message to fit the audience, expresses ideas clearly and concisely, keeps others well informed; listens carefully to input and feedback Customer Driven - Provides outstanding customer service (to both internal and external customers); follows through on responsibilities to customers; leaves all customers satisfied Demonstrates Inclusion - Demonstrates understanding and respect for people of all backgrounds Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience : No related experience required SKILLS & ABILITIES Computer Skills Use of computers helpful Certificates & Licenses Forklift certification may be helpful - Reeb will provide training and certification Other Requirements Must be able to read and understand English Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Good hand and eye coordination Ability to follow oral and written communication from supervisor, lead or co-worker.
