Job Description

This position's purpose is to provide a clean, healthy, and safe environment for Indian Lake Management Unit visitors by cleaning and maintaining the park's public restrooms and buildings. In addition to cleaning and maintaining restrooms and buildings, the position is responsible for directing State Workers assigned to clean and maintain public restrooms and buildings. The position is required to maintain inventory logs for equipment, tools, and supplies, as well as maintenance and cleaning records for the restroom and day use facilities. The position also assists with visitor services and public contact by responding to visitor questions, providing information during their interactions with visitors, and assisting park officers during medical response and lost person incidents. This position will also be responsible for performing minor facility and grounds maintenance in and around restrooms and park buildings.

Retirement Programs:The State of Michigan offers 401(k) and 457 plans for new hires to save for retirement. Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
