Are you ready to lead a dynamic team at the forefront of the metal processing and recycling industry? We're seeking a passionate and experienced Yard Manager to take the helm of our large metal processing and recycling facility. As the Yard Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in directing operations, driving growth, and ensuring the overall prosperity of our business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Profit & Loss Leadership: Take full responsibility for the facility's financial performance, ensuring optimal results.
  • Safety & Compliance: Lead efforts in safety, health, environmental, and quality excellence, adhering to all regulations.
  • Recycling Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of recycling operations, from receiving to shipping.
  • Equipment Uptime & Production Excellence: Implement maintenance systems and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime and production efficiency.
  • Team Development: Foster a high-performance team through coaching, motivation, and continuous learning.
  • LEAN Management: Implement LEAN principles to streamline operations and maximize efficiency.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional service for both suppliers and consumers.
  • Budgeting & Strategic Growth: Manage OPEX, CAPEX, and strategic growth projects to drive business success.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Maintain open communication with all functional departments and external stakeholders.
  • Industry Trends & Technology: Stay updated on industry trends and embrace new technologies to maintain competitiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Effectively manage relationships with governmental and regulatory agencies.

Experience/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience in metals, mining, or similar industries.
  • P&L management experience with a solid understanding of processing equipment.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in IT and willingness to learn new software.
