Contract/Location: National Capital Region / Pensacola, FL Overview:
NAIS LLC is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to provide services on a contract supporting a U.S. Government agency. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and communications skills as well as a previous work history of coaching a disciplined, distributed, fast-moving Agile team and program through Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) ceremonies. This position requires a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, a drive to focus and produce results, and the ability to lead a team to meet objectives and foster strong customer relationships in a complex environment. This is a full-time salaried position with compensation to be based on experience and overall strength of the candidate. On this contract, our team will support the U.S. Government agency across the following activities: 1) Working together with DevOps and software engineers, development teams, business analysts, human centered designers, test engineers, and PMO to conduct release and sprint planning using SAFe Agile methodology to accurately evaluate scope and schedule of work, identify release and sprint backlogs, lead daily scrum meetings and demos, and remove obstacles to enable the teams to deliver high-quality, working code. Qualifications:
• Clearance: Top Secret / SCI
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Education: B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. degree from an accredited academic institution in a relevant field. An associate degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience required.
• Preferred: Experience working in government IT and cybersecurity environments in U.S. civilian government or other federal government agencies.
• Certification Required: SAFe 5.1 SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) Certification
Core Duties:
• Primary responsibility to keep the team organized, on track, and focused on what matters.
• Serves as a bridge between product management and development.
• Clear obstacles and protect the team from distractions.
• Lead through influence and credibility.
• Responsible for facilitating and guiding the team on use of Agile/SAFe practices and getting the work done.
• Assessing team maturity and coaching the team to higher levels and removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments.
• Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining product back logs.
