Immediate Opportunity: Scientist in Swiftwater, PA (Onsite)

Job Description:

Execution of small scale experiments, working with eggs and flu virus.

Support and assist production of high growing flu virus reassortants, flu reference antigen, and antisera.

Running hemagglutination testing, SDS-PAGE, SRID, and chromatography.

Ordering and maintaining supplies and materials and shipping materials as needed.

Working with outside vendors as needed.

Shipping biological samples for sequencing.

Writing internal development protocols and reports related to project.

Sample management between labs, manufacturing buildings, and analytical sciences department.

Flexibility to work on weekends as needed.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40hrs./week (weekends as needed)

Pay Rate: $25 +/Hour (based on experience)

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree

1+ years of laboratory experience (academic or industry)

Experience with techniques including SDS-Page and Chromatographic methods, Preferred

Experience with influenza virus, Preferred

Please Note: Position does require a Flu Vaccination. Position also works with eggs (please notify of any allergen)

12-Month Contract to Start, conversion/extension on performance
