Job Title: Scientist II (Molecular Biology)
Job Location: West Sacramento, CA
Job Duration: 12 Months (Temp to Hire)
Shift Timing: Monday to Friday - 7 am - 4 pm
Pay rate: $35 - $40/hr on w2
Job description:
Responsibilities:
Performs routine and complex laboratory analyses.
Assists in the development and verification of test methodologies for the use in the laboratory.
Ensures instruments and equipment in the lab are functioning properly and maintained by performing or arranging scheduled maintenance.
Utilizes good documentation practices (GDPs) and follows laboratory quality control and quality assurance policies.
Complies with safety policies and procedures.
Complies with QC and QA policies and procedures.
May train other employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
A BS degree in Biological Sciences from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in laboratory testing for the specialties performed by the Clinical Services Lab is required.
Skills:
Use of computer systems for data entry, retrieval, and analyses involving word processing programs, spreadsheets containing data analyses, and complex computer-driven instrumentation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to problem-solve highly complex analyses.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong understanding of good laboratory practices and regulatory compliance.
