Job Description: The Mechanism of Cancer Resistance (MoCR) Thematic Research Center (TRC) is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to support Discovery Biology research programs at our facility in Cambridge, MA. The ideal candidate will contribute to our discovery pipeline from the bench by taking responsibility for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting cellular assays to characterize and advance novel molecules of interest. We are currently seeking a candidate with 4+ years of practical experience in preclinical laboratory work. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and make meaningful contributions as a valued member of our dynamic drug discovery team. Key attributes will include strong organizational skills, a proven track record of high productivity, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Responsibilities include:
Working both independently and collaboratively to support cutting-edge Oncology drug discovery biology programs.
Develop and execute mechanistic in vitro cellular assays to characterize mechanism of action of novel compounds.
Cell culture maintenance, cryopreservation, validation, and inventory management.
Maintain detailed and organized records of protocols and experimental results.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other team members to advance programs.
Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data in team meetings.

Job Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Biology, Molecular/Cell Biology, biochemistry or a related discipline, with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Strong hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture including expertise in aseptic technique, culture optimization, cell counting, cryopreservation, and validation methods.
Experience in managing or supporting cell banking, and familiarity with databases such as Mosaic, would be a plus but not required.
Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and a range of biology skill sets including in vitro cell assay development, plate-based assays, Western blotting, protein quantification, ELISA, MSD, transfections, lentiviral transductions, siRNA/shRNA/CRISPR, qPCR, and viability assays.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional collaborative team.
Strong proficiency in workload planning, prioritization, organization, time management, meticulous attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
Experience utilizing electronic notebooks is preferred, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Self-motivated, adaptable, eager to develop new skills, and possesses a positive attitude.
