The Addison Northwest School District is seeking a School Psychologist for the school year. Full-time or part-time possible. Under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services, the School Psychologist responsibilities include: provide counseling services to students with social/emotional needs, cognitive and achievement testing, behavioral management, working with MTSS teams, professional development training to staff, consultation services to a variety of staff and be part of educational support teams, grade level teams and MTSS teams at the school and district level. Effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with teachers, administrators, support staff, students and parents. Develop, write and implement effective behavior plans including data collection, analysis and procedures. Assess student skills, behavior challenges and social skills. Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports, records and files Work confidentially with discretion. Drive a vehicle to conduct work. Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field. Meet schedules and timelines. Provide work direction and guidance to assigned personnel. Interpret and understand state and federal laws and regulations regarding special education. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in education with a certificate of advanced study in school psychology. At least one-year experience working with students with ages K-12. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Vermont Endorsement in the area of School Psychology Preferred candidates should have their National Certification of School Psychology (NCSP) credential or have eligible background experience to meet NCSP requirements.
