School Intervention Specialist Job Details Job Location School Based - High School - Pemberton, NJ Position Type Full Time Education Level Graduate Degree The School Intervention Specialist plans, organizes, and implements clinical treatment services to consumers and families. This includes clinical assessment, treatment planning, clinical intervention, and evaluation. Responsible for providing psychotherapy to youth individually as well as in a group and family setting. Clinical interventions are trauma informed and strength-based facilitation of evidenced based programming. Supports school staff to assess consumer crisis intervention needs. Plans for discharge and aftercare. Maintains contact with referring agencies and related people and with community resources for referral and to provide expertise as needed. Maintains treatment records and any funding source reporting requirements. Will participate in Agency Performance Improvement activities/projects as necessary. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the consumers served. The individual demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the consumer population served. Must be able to assess and interpret data about the consumer's status in order to identify each consumer's needs and provide the appropriate care, including age-related care, needed by the consumer group. Maintains level of service records. Located inside Pemberton Township High School, the School-Based Youth Services Program provides an array of free services to help students navigate their time in high school while simultaneously gaining skills that help lead to graduation and employment or continuing education. School Based Youth Services are accessible on site, free of charge, and are available to all Pemberton Township High School students and their families. Core services include counseling; violence/pregnancy/drug and alcohol prevention programs; access to health services, employment skills development, learning support services and family supports. Clinical license or license eligibility required. Knowledge of human service referral systems and community agencies.
