As a School-Based Therapist of Willowbrooke, you will provide individual, group, and family sessions to students on a designated campus, in the community, in homes, in clinics, and telehealth. Working alongside school counselors, social workers, administrators, and families to proactively meet students in need. Advantages: Utilization Review completed by a competent team who will maximize your counseling longevity Free CEs to continue your professional growth PRN, 10-month, or 12-month agreement available to mimic academic calendar COVID-19 Considerations: Currently providing both in-person and telehealth options to ensure all student treatment needs are addressed Education Master's Degree in counseling or related field plus at least one year of training in a specialty resulting in certification Experience Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures Licenses & Certifications Licensed Professional Counselor Associate Licensed Professional Counselor Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensed Master Social Worker Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapists Qualifications Ability to concentrate on tasks in high-traffic areas. Ability to deal with a crisis and potentially combative patients while maintaining personal and emotional terminology. Ability to empathetically relate to people. Ability to maintain information as highly confidential. Able to meet deadlines. Assessment and intervention skills. Basic data entry skills required and preference for basic computer skills. Familiar with clinical terminology. Familiarity with the continuum of care. If an individual is recovering from an alcohol or drug addiction, they must be clean and sober for 2 years. Knowledge of DSM IV diagnostic criteria. Legible handwriting. Must have a Master's degree in counseling or related field. Substance abuse counselors must have a Master's degree in a related field and the Master's Addiction Counselor credential (MAC) and/or be a certified addiction counselor supervisor. Persuasive manner and skills in overcoming denial and resistance to treatment. Time management and sound organization skills. Employee will obtain initial CPR and SCIPP certification within 90 days of employment. Employee will maintain CPR and SCIPP certification as required. 8:00am-5:00pm and 2 evenings.
