School Based Therapist Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Inkster Clinic - Inkster, MI Position Type Full Time Education Level Graduate Degree Job Category Nonprofit - Social Services $8,000.00 SIGNING BONUS POSITION SUMMARY: This School Based Therapist is responsible for providing direct clinical and therapeutic services and interventions to the children, youth, and families in our partner districts. Services are delivered in either the public outpatient or homebased level of care, within a school based setting. Mental health wellness & education, participation on multi-disciplinary teams and group facilitation is also required within this role. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Must meet criteria as a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) + Master's degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited school required + Trained and has one year of experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families + Current valid professional license/certification in the State of Michigan + Current valid driver's license + Clinical knowledge, comprehensive assessment skills and experience related to the coordinator and delivery of mental health and co-occurring services to children and families DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Assist Partner District in design and implementation of a school based mental health education and service delivery model. + Provide and facilitate prevention services and interventions for students in crisis. + Offer quarterly professional development presentations for school teachers/administration and parents + Conduct psycho-educational and treatment groups on topics identified jointly with school personnel. + Provide individual, group and family treatment to assigned clients. + Provide and facilitate referrals to higher levels of care or more intensive interventions if necessary. + Development and implementation of Individual Plan of Service utilizing Person Centered Planning. + Maintain clinical charts in an accurate and timely manner to include, but not limited to assessments, treatment plans, and all other MDHHS chart requirements. LICENSING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: + Valid driver's license and / or reliable transportation. + Must be COVID-19 vaccinated, or partially, with the ability to complete within 30-days of employment.
