Telesis7 is seeking a Scala Engineer to work on batch ETL. You must be highly skilled in designing and building scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver company data to internal and external stakeholders, including multiple reporting teams and external media partners.

You will develop and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch processing (hourly). Implement new data exports and update business logic for various data feeds. Contribute to the development of a billion-scale streaming data pipeline infrastructure. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ingestion and processing lifecycle.

Attention to detail and ability to work with data pipelines and large amounts of data, handling account master data is a necessity as a SCALA Developer with Telesis7. As an active team member you will work with streaming technologies, providing business intelligence, preparing and validating data, and business use cases.

4+ years of working directly with the following is REQUIRED:
•  SCALA experience coding with a strong foundation in functional programming concepts
•  APACHE SPARK - both batch and streaming with a focus on migrating existing projects and building new features using Spark
•  KAFKA for real-time message queuing
•  AWS - S3, EC2, EMR
•  SQL - datasets
•  Must have experience in working with large volumes of data in an enterprise client environment
•  Deploying to production
•  Data engineering
•  Familiarity with container orchestration concepts, preferably Kubernetes Daily:
•  Participate in brief morning stand-up meetings (15 minutes).
•  Work on assigned tasks with minimal meetings outside of weekly team syncs.
•  Agile development environment with 2-week sprints.
