Satcom Engineer I

Position Title: SATCOM Engineer I - (SECRET CLEARANCE)

Position Start: April 22, 2024 (Pending Contract Award)

Position Summary: Our client is currently seeking to fill a full time SATCOM Engineer I - (SECRET CLEARANCE) position. The SATCOM Engineer I will be supporting the government at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Responsibilities:

Provide in-depth technical assessments and analysis of activities within and between programs.

Support the design of system architectures, terminals, waveforms and access protocols.

Support analysis of system performance, throughput and response time, analysis of operational requirements and system loading.

Conduct systems engineering evaluations of satellite and terminal designs.

Participate in proposal and technical evaluations for satellite systems.

Support design reviews and perform evaluation of satellite and terminal contractor designs.

Demonstrate the ability to translate complex technical issues into meaningful terms for others involved.

Effectively coordinate within and outside of PM TN, to include such organizations such as Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications - Tactical (PEO C3T), Army Capabilities Manager (ACM), Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), industry vendors and other Army stakeholders (e.g. Army Strategic Command (ARSTRAT .

Serve as subject matter experts in all aspects of transmission, to include modulation and coding, link budgets, radio frequency equipment, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation and other algorithms/protocols.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, testing, or related field

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of SATCOM engineering experience. BS can be substituted with an additional 5 years of related experience performing SATCOM engineering functions.

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an Active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
