The Position:
Position Title: SAP Developer (Mid-Senior)
Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site (as required) in Middletown, PA
Duration: 36+ Month Project
We are seeking multiple SAP Developers (Mid-level and Senior-level) to add to our team assisting the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) Information Technology (IT) Department to manage PTC s multi-phase SAP ERP S/4 HANA update and data migration effort. Project duration will be for a period of 36 months. Work environment will be hybrid, primarily remote off-site with on-site presence as required.
Our SAP Developers will perform the following duties;
- SAP Development: Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom SAP applications and enhancements using ABAP, Fiori, SAPUI5, and other SAP technologies.
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and robust SAP solutions.
- System Integration: Develop and manage interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process integration.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for SAP systems, including troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct performance tuning of SAP applications to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation for developed solutions, including technical specifications, test plans, and user guides.
- Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and sharing best practices to enhance team capabilities. Conduct training sessions for end-users and stakeholders as needed.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure all developments comply with relevant policies, standards, and regulations, particularly those specific to state government projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest SAP technologies and methodologies, advocating for and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
The Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 4+ Year Degree in related field
- 3+ Years: SAP Development experience for Mid-level
- 5+ Years: SAP Development experience including leading projects or teams for Senior-level
- Proficient in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP
- Experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and other SAP frontend technologies
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable
- Familiarity with integration tools such as SAP PI/PO and web services (SOAP, REST)
- Knowledge of database concepts and SQL
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Experience working in a government environment is a plus
