Sanitation Technician

Career Start is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Sanitation Tech in Baldwinsville, NY. To be considered for this position, preferred candidates will have at least 1 year of experience working in a food manufacturing environment as well as forklift experience.

The Sanitation Technician is tasked with sanitizing machinery, equipment, and the facility. Additionally, they assign tasks to Sanitation Assistants and collaborate with the master sanitation schedule to ensure all duties are performed thoroughly and efficiently.

Shift: Monday through Friday 10 PM to 630 AM

Responsibilities of the Sanitation Tech:
Conduct and verify daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning and sanitation across the entire plant, including the application of cleaning agents, washing, sweeping, and mopping.
Follow the plant's Master Sanitation Schedule.
Dismantle and reassemble equipment as needed to ensure complete sanitation.
Confirm the cleaning agents used, understand their purposes, and apply them correctly, following the proper amounts and procedures. Ensure compliance with MSDS requirements.
Maintain housekeeping, GMP standards, and safety within the facility.
Perform additional duties as needed or assigned by management

Requirements of the Sanitation Tech:
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of experience in a food manufacturing setting
Forklift experience is preferred
