Job Details

We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Sanitation Supervisor for the 3rd Shift in our Manufacturing Department. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible, and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. This role will be responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of all production equipment and areas, ensuring all health and safety guidelines are adhered to. The Sanitation Supervisor will also be in charge of a team, ensuring they are properly trained and performing their duties to the highest standard.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment and areas to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and manage sanitation procedures and protocols to achieve a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Train, guide, and manage sanitation team members, ensuring they understand and adhere to appropriate standards and procedures.
  • Monitor and verify the effectiveness of sanitation practices by conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address sanitation issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, including SQF, HACCP, GFSI, and other relevant standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities and prepare reports for management review.
  • Manage inventory and order sanitation supplies as needed.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a sanitation role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and procedures, particularly within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Proven understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations, including SQF, HACCP, GFSI, and other relevant standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to train and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve sanitation issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to team members, management, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ability to work the 3rd shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting heavy items, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education in a related field preferred.
