Career Opportunity

Our company is looking for a Sales Manager with a passion for great customer experiences to join our growing international company to make the world safer, cleaner, and healthier. The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients and identifying new distributors.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a water/wastewater sales role is an advantage.

Sales Manager Responsibilities:

Develop new accounts and maintain existing accounts by establishing a personal working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on value, knowledge, trust and character.

Conduct on-site customer visits with new and existing customers for the purpose of consultative selling solution experience. Our solutions include up to full turn-key services of Acoustic leak Detection, so its important that you are comfortable with selling complex projects.

Create and execute an ongoing strategic plan to effectively develop and manage growth within your territory.

Develop and deliver superior proposals and presentations showing business value to customers.

Drive prospects through to contract award and successful implementation of the solution.

Understand the competitive water and/or wastewater industry environment and use that knowledge to maximize sales opportunities. Stay updated on equipment offerings and technology.

Build, deepen and maintain high level contacts with current and prospective business partners to increase market penetration and brand recognition.

Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of national market trends, client trends, and technology trends and advancements.

Utilize sales tools, CRM and other resources to maximize communication with customers and management.

Sales Representative Requirements:

Bachelors degree in technical, business, marketing, economics, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of directly-related water/wastewater industry sales experience.

Current relationships with water/wastewater industry contacts and customers.

Familiarity with water distribution operations and business sales.

Grade I-IV treatment certifications or equivalent direct sales knowledge of wastewater treatment operations.

Knowledge of sewer/storm collection systems/networks coming into the headworks.

Proficient in presenting materials to small and large groups.

Willing to learn hands-on processes of installation equipment that will be sold.

Domestic travel approximately 50-65%

Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.

A commitment to excellent customer service.

Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.

Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.

Proven success selling in a technical field.
