Northpoint Roofing Systems, a renowned roofing company known for its commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction and ranked 653 on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list along with a 26th position in the competitive construction sector is looking for a Sales Manager to work out of our Fort Myers, Florida office, Rising Star Roofing.
The Sales Manager, under the direction of the General Manager, Rising Star Roofing - Florida, is responsible for building, managing, and directing a sales team while ensuring progress toward Company objectives and sales targets.
The ideal candidate brings a wealth of construction/home repair industry knowledge and thrives in a growing, dynamic environment. This position focuses on increasing sales while identifying mutually beneficial relationships that develop into further opportunities for business growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of outside sales representatives (Roofing Advisors)
- Generate new business, and establish and nurture client relationships
- Organize and attend targeted industry events
- Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, grow customer base
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Identify and establish relationships with major OEMs, contractors and partners in the market
- Upon successful completion of sales, work closely with accounting to manage commission plans and calculate commission earnings
- Collaborate with marketing and production teams to develop sales collateral and pricing documents
- Document all sales activity in database with a high degree of accuracy and correctness
- Attend department meetings, keep current on sales information, products, and industry trends
- Prepare action plans to identify specific targets
- Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts
- Monitor multiple projects and prioritize tasks within projects
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
- Exceed weekly/monthly sales quotas
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in sales/business development within the in construction/home repair industry
- Documented performance of increasing revenue
- Understanding of technical terms commonly used in the roofing
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to travel; must have a valid driver's license
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
