Are you a dynamic and results-driven professional with a passion for automotive engineering and customer relations? We're seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team at BENTELER, a leading tier one automotive supplier. As a Sales Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our customer strategy, managing critical project activities, and ensuring successful customer relationships.

Your Opportunity

  • Support Customer Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement customer strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Project Management: Oversee all activities within approved "Acquire & Quote" and "Develop & Launch" projects, ensuring targets are met.
  • Data Excellence: Document and maintain project details in our systems, maintaining high data quality standards.
  • Negotiations: Prepare for and actively participate in project-related negotiations with customers.
  • Cost Analysis: Utilize internal costing tools to create detailed customer cost breakdowns.
  • Order Development: Ensure successful order development, considering customer-specific agreements.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify cost optimization opportunities and collaborate with Account Managers, Global Account Directors, and Program Directors.
  • Prototype and Serial Production: Support boundary condition definition and pre-calculation for prototype and serial production.
  • Sales Planning: Prepare necessary data for sales planning.
  • Customer Meetings: Lead order- and acquisition-related customer meetings, including negotiations.
  • Customer Relationship: Cultivate strong customer relationships within your commodity area.
  • Communication: Keep superiors informed about customer-related affairs.

Your Personality

  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Experience: Preferred 5+ years of automotive supplier experience.
  • Success with OEM Customers: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
