HotFoot Recruiters is excited to partner with a multinational sheet metal manufacturing company to fill the position of Safety Specialist. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring workplace safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Position: Safety Specialist

Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire

Location: North Phoenix, Arizona

Responsibilities:

Champion safety within the company by developing, implementing, and maintaining effective safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet all federal, state, and local regulations.

Proactively identify and eliminate potential hazards through regular safety audits and inspections of the manufacturing facility.

Empower employees with safety knowledge by leading engaging training sessions that promote a culture of safety and ensure clear understanding of safety protocols.

Uncover the root causes of incidents and accidents through thorough investigations and documentation. Recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Partner with management and staff to create and implement comprehensive emergency response plans.

Ensure data integrity by maintaining accurate safety records, and prepare clear and concise reports for regulatory agencies and company management.

Stay ahead of the curve by keeping current with industry safety standards and best practices. Propose innovative ideas for continuous improvement of safety processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience safeguarding the well-being of workers in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.

Possess (or be actively pursuing) an Occupational Health and Safety certification (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, CSP, ASP).

Excel at communication and training, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to a diverse range of employees.

Proven ability to conduct meticulous investigations and analyze incidents to pinpoint root causes.

Highly organized with a keen eye for detail, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

A natural leader who can foster a positive safety culture and influence employee behavior regarding safe work practices.
