(SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection and lighting design. We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector.

SIE is looking for a Safety Manager - Rail/Transit to support various MTA C&D transit construction projects . This position will be responsible for supporting the client in auditing safety on the project.


Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in safety management for infrastructure projects
  • Experience with design-build and design-bid-build projects
  • Experience with MTA C&D (including NYCT, LIRR, MNR), Amtrak, NJ Transit, and PANYNJ
  • Excellent communication skills and work ethic
  • MNR Contractor Safety Training
  • Site Safety Manager Course
  • OSHA 30 (OSHA 500 desirable)
  • CSP, CHST or other formal safety certifications preferred
  • NYCT Track Training

Expected salary range is $72,800 - $156,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual's qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
