Summary The Safety Carpenter will perform under the supervision of a foreman/lead duties including constructing, erecting, stripping, and/or repairing structures of steel, wood, plywood using carpenter's hand and power tools conforming to construction documents. Will be exposed to all the following duties but may specialize in one or more areas. Roles and Responsibilities The Safety Carpenter will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Installs Handrails Builds and Installs Guardrails Install building perimeter fall protection Cover and secure holes and openings Know how to use drills, saws, and other power tools Ensures a Safe Work Environment Participates in Training/Certifications Requirements High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.
