Our company is seeking Route Drivers (CDL Class A $21/hr or B $20/hr) to deliver product to customers in the west central Florida regional area. Home every night and every weekend.
Starting pay $20 per hour, & Pallet Collection Incentive - details provided during interview.
Route Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate vehicle as a route delivery driver, and unload / load building materials at respective customer locations. (Class A: tractor trailer with 48' flatbed, Class B: 26-28 ft. box truck)
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Efficient and accurate delivery of 10-15 stops per day.
- Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured.
- Complete a full pre-trip inspection prior to departure, document any deficiencies and report them directly to the fleet manager.
- Obey all traffic laws and weight limits.
- Properly utilize an ELD system and paper log if the ELD malfunctions.
Route Driver Requirements:
- Valid CDL - Class A or B minimum with at least 1-year of experience
- Clean CDL with a maximum of 3 points.
- Current CDL medical certification.
- Registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and possess good record.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, twist, and reach throughout complete shift.
- Building material experience is a plus.
- Flatbed truck experience is preferred but not required.
- Air brakes endorsement is required.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is required.
