Job Description The WPE BIW Robot Refurbishment Project Manager is responsible to oversee and manage all activities associated with robot reutilization. This includes forecasting robot availability at the end of production programs and planning for future reuse on upcoming new programs. Once identified for repurpose, this position will track the robots through extraction, shipping, storage, refurbishment, and delivery to the sourced integrator of the new program. Through the refurbishment process this project manager will monitor the schedule to ensure refurbished robots are delivered in time to support program timing and milestones. This will include interaction with robot manufacturers during the refurbishment process to oversee engineering requirements associated with hardware and software upgrades / conversions required for the new application. In summary, this position will own the entire process from extraction to delivery to ensure a smooth and successful reapplication. Qualifications
•  Demonstrated team leadership and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering OR in another technical discipline with equivalent engineering experience. Minimum 2+ years of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Launch experience with an emphasis on robot technology, performance, and reliability. Proven Experience with robotic hardware, software, and application. Problem solving skills specific to robot health and recovery. Strong and proficient on Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Word, Outlook), TMS and Pentasap. Experience with robotic weld cell integration, launch, and productionizing. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong and proficient understanding of sheet metal welding technologies in an automated robotic line. Knowledge of SharePoint and Teamcenter downloads and approvals is preferred. Ability to coordinate robot manufacturer engineering resources with robot refurbishment activities to ensure a successful transition. Preferred Qualifications
