Job DetailsWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Asphalt/Concrete Estimator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As a Concrete Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for concrete, road, and highway construction projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for concrete/Asphalt, road, and highway construction projects
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials, and labor required
- Collaborate with project teams to develop project schedules and budgets
- Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information and assess project requirements
- Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors
- Provide ongoing support to project teams throughout the construction process
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in concrete, road, and highway construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimating software
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred, but not required
