Job Description: Trusted Staffe is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor for Long Term Care on behalf of our esteemed partner, a regional Medical Center located in Seward, AK. As an RN Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents within the long-term care facility.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of resident care.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and implementation of care plans to meet individualized resident needs.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to long-term care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to optimize resident outcomes.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess resident status and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing support and education as needed.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and resident satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care and facility operations.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification upon hire is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical supervisory, management, or resource experience in a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in long-term care is highly preferred.
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience, with a focus on gerontological nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards governing long-term care facilities.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care to residents.
