Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse Full-time Day Shift 9A - 9:30P with Call Rotation
Incollaboration with other members of the perioperative team, the Recovery Room RN develops, coordinates, andimplements a plan of care based on patient assessment, knowledge of surgicalprocedures, anesthesia plan, physician orders, application of relevantpolicies/procedures and AORN/ASPAN guidelines.
Perform a comprehensive nursing assessment ofthe post-op patient and closely monitor vital signs and levels of consciousnessas the patient recovers from the effects of anesthesia
Proactively observe and act accordingly to treat pain, nausea, and otherpatient post-op symptoms and any side effects of anesthesia
Administer medications as ordered by thephysician and assess the surgical site for bleeding / change bandages.

Qualifications
What you need to be successful: ADN required / BSN preferred
Texas RN license or compact license isaccepted
Current BLS, ACLS and PALS issued by theAmerican Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Musthave at least one (1) year high-acuity PACU RN experience in a busy hospitalsetting OR may consider an RN with a minimum of two (2) years current criticalcare experience
