Job Description: We are seeking a full-scope Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing OB/GYN office located in the heart of the Berkshires. The Certified Nurse Midwife provides specialized nursing services in areas that may include women s health, family planning, labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. The CNM s duties will be performed under the general supervision of the CMO. The CNM will work in close collaboration with a community hospital s labor and delivery department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Obtain records of patients health history; performs comprehensive physical assessment as part of a total physical examination; diagnose, treat, and plan appropriate healthcare for patients; manage and prevent sexually transmitted diseases; refer patients to physicians and/or outside agencies as required; establish and maintain patients electronic medical records and other necessary records. Perform gynecological exams on expectant mothers to ensure they remain healthy throughout their pregnancy; offer family planning services and preconception care to women who wish to get pregnant; provide support during labor and childbirth; provide pre-natal, labor, delivery, and postpartum education; provide breastfeeding and infant care education.
Education and/or Experience: A bachelor s degree from an accredited school of nursing, A minimum of one year s experience is preferred. National certification in specialty is preferred. Necessary special requirements:
