Unit Notes
40 hour guarantees/10 hour shifts: Varied start times w/ night and weekend rotations. Work week is Friday-Thursday and may work 5 shifts in a row with 5th shift not being OT pay.

While there are nurse aides, any nurse may be responsible for Total patient care - seeking 5 years critical care experience in ER or ICU. Willing to train the right candidate.

Unit PACU

Required Certifications BLS, ACLS, PALS
Common Cases A lot of total joints including knees, shoulders, hips; Robotics-XI, Urology, GYN, General, plastics; neuro including spinal & seldom crani's, general, urology - all done in main OR & not OP, a little ENT, EP, Cath lab. Short term vents recover in PACU, other vents are transferred back to ICU. "
Experience or 'Must have' skills "Must have ICU or ER background d/t critical patients, they will recover critical patients who are on vasoactive drips.
Must have at least 2 years' experience or more in specialty or must have experience in larger facility with a lot of spine. Short term vents recover in PACU, other vents are transferred back to ICU. "

Shifts & Scheduling Travelers need to flexible with schedules, may be asked to change schedule daily depending on needs and cases, 10 hr. shifts usually, 7AM-5:30PM, 1-11:30PM, & 9AM-7:30PM
Weeknight/Call Requirement Call varies - Rare but hours are M-F. They have a regular RN taking all the weekday call, so unless they are on vacation or LOA, there is no night call. Sign up for weekend call, usually about every 3rd weekend.
Weekend/Call Requirement Call varies - weekend call can be all day Sunday or 12Hrs of call on Saturday. PACU staff is scheduled to work on Saturday - various shifts. One starts at 0700, 0900, & 1000
