Marlora Post Acute Rehabilitation Hospital - Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN)

Marlora Post Acute Rehabilitation Hospital is looking for a dynamic Registered Nurse Supervisor to assist our clinical team and provide our residents with an exceptional care experience. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor is responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of residents in the facility, and for the supervision and education of nursing personnel who provide care to the residents. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and Oversee LVN's & CNA's
  • Assist the Director of Nursing Services in the day-to-day resident direct care functions of the nursing department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
  • Assist in coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents ' total regimen of care.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
  • Delegate to each Charge Nurse the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform his/her assigned duties.
  • Perform clinical rounds to ensure that all direct care nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards. Report findings to the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Review complaints and grievances made or filed by residents, family, visitors & staff that involve nursing care.
  • Ensure that all RNs and LVNs comply with written procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies.
  • IV Management
  • Complete resident assessment and care plans
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding resident care.
  • I mplement plan of care with focus on resident centered outcomes by utilizing all appropriate, available resources for resident/family/responsible party counseling and discharge planning.
  • Evaluate emergencies and assist in implementing emergency measures.
  • Assure that the unit area is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience.
  • Assist in notification of physician of any resident incidents/unusual occurrences.
  • Accident/Incident Report forms are filled out and completed on all such occurrences and such information charted in the resident 's medical record as outlined in our established policies and procedures .
  • Provide advice and emotional support to residents and their family members.

Experience:
  • Skilled Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • New Grads are encouraged to apply, we are willing to train.

License/Certification:
  • RN License in CA
  • CPR Certification (Required)
  • Competency in Point Click Care (PCC) software is highly preferred
