JOB SUMMARY
- To provide continuity of supevision and operation of facility during the PM shift assuring that facility policies are followed and that quality of care is maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, visitors, personnel, and support agencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Make facility rounds on each floor and lower level.
- Notify appropriate personnel regarding immediate concerns, communicate all concerns to the Administrator.
- May initiate discipline, to be reviewed by appropriate Department Head/Administrator, after investigating situation.
- Handle walk in visitors requesting a facility tour or visit.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
